Financial planning
One clear plan across saving, spending, insurance, and goals, revisited as your family grows.
Front Royal, Virginia ◆ Shenandoah Valley
TBD is a fee-only, fiduciary wealth manager rooted in Front Royal, built for families who measure success in decades, not quarters, and who want their investments to reflect what they believe.
Who we serve
Many households move to this valley for the faith, the parish, and a place to raise children well. We plan for the real shape of those lives.
Front Royal draws big families for a reason. We plan for the true math of many children: one household, one plan, many futures.
Moved here for the community? We help you put down financial roots to match the ones you are planting everywhere else.
From cash flow to succession, we help owners build real value and plan the eventual handoff on their own terms.
A clear picture of what you can spend, income you will not outlive, and the confidence to actually enjoy it.
Passing on what you have built, in good order, with an eye on both taxes and family harmony for the generations after you.
What we do
Planning and investing under one roof, coordinated with your CPA and attorney, so nothing important falls between the cracks.
One clear plan across saving, spending, insurance, and goals, revisited as your family grows.
Diversified, long-term portfolios built to your goals and screened to your values. See How we invest.
Turning a lifetime of saving into dependable income you will not outlive.
Multigenerational transfer done thoughtfully, coordinated with your estate attorney.
Funding many educations at once, beyond a single 529, without derailing your own retirement.
Working alongside your CPA so the plan and the tax return actually agree.
Giving to your parish and the causes you love in the most effective way, from donor-advised funds to gifts of appreciated stock.
How we invest
TBD builds diversified, long-term portfolios and screens them in alignment with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Socially Responsible Investment Guidelines, updated in 2021. Those guidelines describe three ways to invest as a steward:
We decline investments in companies whose products or practices run counter to Catholic moral teaching.
Where we hold companies, we use that ownership, through proxy voting and engagement, to press for the good.
We look for investments that build up people, families, and communities, not only balance sheets.
TBD is an independent firm and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the USCCB, the Diocese of Arlington, or St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. The USCCB does not endorse financial advisers or investment firms; its guidelines are referenced here for informational purposes only. Values-based screening may limit the investable universe and could affect performance. Investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal.
Our approach
No jargon and no theater. You will always understand what we are doing and why.
We start with a conversation about your family, your values, and what you want your money to do. No cost, no pressure.
We build a clear picture of where you stand and where you are headed, and we name the gaps honestly.
We put the plan and the portfolio in place, coordinated with your CPA and attorney so it all fits together.
We meet through the seasons of your life and keep the plan current as marriages, children, and markets change.
Why families choose us
We live and worship where you do. You will meet the person actually managing your money.
We are paid by you, never by commissions or product quotas. Our advice answers to one master.
We are structured around large families and the long, careful handoff to the next one.
Faith-informed screening is not an upsell here. It is simply how we invest, and it is optional for those who prefer otherwise.
We explain every recommendation in words a busy parent can follow between school pickups.
Your planner, your CPA, and your attorney working from the same page, not three separate ones.
